Gaelicisation, Education and the cló gaelach

Included in Irish in Outlook, which I had the pleasure of editing with colleagues in the School of Education, is my article on the cló gaelach as an important marker of developments in education, gaelicisation, and cultural nationalism in Ireland in the twentieth century. In this article I trace the public and governmental debate from the turn of the twentieth century to the sixties.
